Hopefully next year we'll also see the debut of games like id Software's RAGE and StarCraft 2. | » If only we had a media that looked at everything I am fed up seeing the same old titles over and over again, and the same old titles missed over and over again!
Where is Two Worlds II? or The Witcher 2? Or the new STALKER title? It wouldn't have anything to do with these games not coming from American publishers, could it?! It will be so nice when we finally get a professional gaming media.
Secondly, if you listed these games by genre, you would have over 90% of these titles are action games, either offline or MMO. There's a couple RTS's, but that's about it.
Given how successful titles like The Witcher and Oblivion and Dragon Age were, a huge chunk of the gaming market is being ignored by American publishers. Thank god for the east Europeans!
But of course we get no editorials talking about these issues, do we? We get the same articles trotted out by all the gaming sites. I could have read this on IGN or Gamespot, but where do I go to find a gaming site talking about 2010 games like The Witcher 2, or Fallout: New Vegas, etc?!» Login to reply to this jacobvandy (1233) Jan 08, 2010 - 12:59 pm | Edited on Jan 08, 2010 - 01:03 pm
| i don't know exactly why you're so upset, there is no bias here. if a game isn't on the list but should have been, that means i just haven't heard about it. STALKER: Call of Pripyat is on the list, i am very much looking forward to playing it. and see Metro 2033, a game i think could be really interesting from a startup in Ukraine... i liked the witcher, but am unaware of a sequel. are you sure it's meant to come out this year?
i had no idea about fallout: new vegas! i might've read a news story but then glossed over it thinking it was yet another fallout 3 DLC, lol. since they have no release date beyond "2010" i wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed, but it certainly could have been put on the last page with the other maybes. it's being published by bethesda though, a very american company.
p.s. you can turn off the profanity filter in your account options.» Login to reply to this |
