| | I call BS. It's EA trying to bring Steam down and figuring they can do it faster by collaborating with the rest of Steam's competitors. No other publisher has problems with Steam and DLC can be installed sans Steam (GFWL). So there's nothing restrictive. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | And I completely agree with this. But where in the world did I ever mention coming to America's defense? This is about an idiotic but otherwise innocent man about to be murdered because he was unfortunate enough to be both American and Iranian. My heart goes out to him and Iran is not helping its case. | Hey f*cktard, how did you wring out a 230 word reply to a 30 word post? Are you just PMS'ing or is it the PTSD kicking in?
Please point out where I said I wanted to go to war, where all of this is 100% Iran's fault and America is infallible, and where I'm supposedly some sort of tough guy.
In fact, how can you even tell that I'm American? I'm from Spain and though my father is indeed American I've only ever lived in the place once. So I have a global and outside perspective on this.
Furthermore, if you weren't a reactionary making assumptions about every little thing and blowing your shit up on everyone you would find that we agree on 100% everything. I'm a fervent Ron Paul supporter and absolutely agree with all of his talking points on Iran. America is just as much to blame for what is going on as Iran.
But my comments on their regime still stands. Iran is a barbaric nation, much like the rest of Middle East, where anyone who so much as offends the theocracy is executed. The Persian people are being oppressed and abused in horrific ways and after America's show of kindness Iran still goes out of its way to antagonize the world.
To fix this mess there needs to be dialogue on both sides. Continuing the violence just because of history is precisely the reason there will never be peace in this world.
Oh, and I'm joining the USMC later this year. I guess I'll soon be able to sign my name and rank at the end of my posts and pretend it lends some sort of legitimacy on the internet. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Ah, ok. In the U.S. and Spain religions are tax-exempt. So registering any dumbass fake religion amounts to fraud everywhere else. Also, in Spain, that religion gets some leniency in practicing its beliefs if it comes into conflict with the law. So it would amount to legalizing piracy... over here at least. | I'm not talking about the translation into the game. I'm talking about forcing the person playing the game to control their movements in ways that are understood by the game and make sense in the game world for the reasons we just stated. Fishing isn't going to work if the player is flailing about wildly in the same way that sword fighting isn't going to work if you move like a maniac. So obviously there will be/should be limitations on just how 1:1 it can be.
But that doesn't mean 1:1 sword play is impossible as you said. It just means there needs to be some gameplay adjustments and balancing. 1:1 is the general idea of rapid response and tactile realism rather than literally one-for-one movements.
Plus lightsabers are essentially deadly flashlights so one could totally pull off a 1:1 sword fight. After all, Jedi are always faster than the in-game world. :P Flag this | Edit this post |
