patch for what? I haven't encountered any bugs in it.

cutting multiplayer back to a max of 24 is not how you do it though.... Not nearly enough for this type of game

true, but just because we are disappointed doesn't mean it still can't be fun. Just not nearly as much fun as it could have been..

ok, I was going on the official site, which made no mention of dedicated servers. So at least we will have dedicated servers.

BUT, it's still officially limited to 24 players max, which isn't much better than MW 2 dammit!! :o(

thats the "rumor".

But the truth is, EA never said who or what teams will be affected by these upcoming cuts.

I thought it was always scheduled for 2010 and a few websites just started rumors that it may be out by december. If so, it wasn't pushed back at all.

2 things:

1) does it have any singleplayer game at all? or is it strictly multiplayer?

2) this site started out as a pc game site, so why does it suck that this game was made for pc's??????

quote: "Exclusive to the PC. It sucks that this is considered a pro nowadays…"

that doesn't suck at all, what sucks is every other game out that is made for consoles then ported to pc's.

I have liked the call of duty games, and I'll go out and get this one.

It's just people flipping out over a SCRIPTED MOVIE and acting like it's actual gameplay footage and saying they are going to purchase it because of said action that gets me.

there is not reason to buy it for a console either then. The pc version is still
going to be better than the console version. Just because it doesn't have all the features we want on pc is absolutely no reason to buy it on console instead. Doing that just reinforces the reasons that the companies are doing this.

yeah, well you can the same about the other companies then. Quake and unreal are pc centered. These game you mention from valve are not new, upcoming games. For all we know, all their upcoming games may go the same way also.

granted, this SCRIPTED MOVIE looks good. but what does that have to do with actual gameplay?

why would people run out and buy it based on a MOVIE?

how are they forcing you to go to consoles? the console version isn't going to have dedicated servers either...

granted, I'm ticked at the way things have been headed also. But the pc version is still going to be better than the console version.

Like I said, not all computer users are worried about playing modern games, or games at all. Why should they have to throw out a perfectly good card and buy a new one.

And nvidia does still support the geforce 6 series cards in their newest win7 drivers.

just another reason not to waste money on an ati card then if they refuse to support their products. nvidia is still supporting their older cards.

that is ridiculous. Gamers only make up a small portion of computer uses. And a very small portion of these older cards. Just because you have a newer card does not mean that all these people should run out and buy a new one. AMD not supporting their products is just plain laziness. It's not like it would take them months and months of developement to create drivers for these cards.

If you'll notice, nvidia is still supporting their older cards with updated drivers.

because the majority of ati users still are using dx9 or earlier cards. They need drivers to use them.

You think everybody should just throw their perfectly fine cards in the trash and go out and buy new dx11 cards???

how does the fact that they will be selling for decent prices equate to intel making nice profits on them? where is it stated what the actual cost to manufacture is? and the R&D costs?

after looking at a review of this drive on Anandtech, I would definatly not put "performance" in the name. It was near the bottom in a lot of the tests, with 5400rpm hard drives actually beating it in a couple of the tests.

but do programs run any better with the os on the ssd? I would think this would make no difference when it comes to actual program performance. If the computer is on all the time, what's the point?

it won't be a waste of silicon once game companies start coding their games to make use of it. Right now, yes, it's kinda worthless. But hopefully the day will come when it becomes commonplace.

this is the very first and only game in my 30 years of computer gaming that I am sorry I spent even 1 cent on. It is total and utter garbage. The graphics are nice, but the movement and gameplay sucks royally. As does the so called waypoint marker that you can't see unless you are facing away from the target and have an arrow at the side of the screen. When directly in front of you, it disapears into the rest of the graphics.

"head bob" makes your screen jump up and down about 6 feet with each step. even turned all the way down it still bobs a lot more than it should and makes me sick looking at the screen.

all in all, like FSgeeK said, it's an unoptimized mess.

yawn all you want, but even stock speed this intel will probably beat your overclocked amd. at 4.7Ghz, no competition.

what do you mean, the rest of the world? what about the HUGE portion of the population that have no access to any broadband at all? Digital distribution is absolutely worthless until broadband connections can be had by everybody.

there are no true 128bit cpu's out there. The ps2/3 is not a true 128bit cpu. I searched a bit trying to find out about previous 128bit cpu's, couldn't find any. Wiki say's there are none. It seems that if this is a true 128bit cpu, it will be the first of it's kind.
