| Hmm i went and bought BF3 against my better judgement and now they seem to be doing it for their entire catalogue of games in what i feel is the most blatant form of product pushing (Origin) imaginable. Hey its there games and they can do what they like, but dont BS us that Steam is restrictive as an excuse. We all know its to push your own service EA.
Wont buy EA games if this trend continues. Grow some balls and admit that your doing this deliberately to oppose steam EA. Flag this | Edit this post |

| It better not have Intel Intergrated Graphics.
The price range you estimated for the razer i can get a pretty darn powerful Laptop with a bigger screen. As you know screen real estate is important to me so if this is more then $500 i wont even consider it. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Interesting concept if the price is good i might consider this, especially if it allows the use of Steam. I like it. Since the psp vita wont fit in your pocket (the 3ds just) if you want high end gaming on the go this looks like an excellent alternative. Hopefully battery life is ok. | | The fact that direct 100% translation of persons action to ingame movement tells me that 1:1 is an ideal that they will try to achieve but never succeed. Besides i am sure that only a miniscule per portion of gamers will want to play a game as long as Skyrim like that. With the Wii Motion controls you can play as crazy (swinging arms wildly) or as relaxed (sit on the sofa and make slight movements) as you want. The way Kinect makes you have to stand and make full movements means you have only one choice, and the idea of doing that for 100 hours plus will very shortly after the novelty wears of wear thin. | | my understanding of 1:1 is that if i move my hand a certain way it will be directly translated to the ingame character. No changes or deviations what so ever. If there are changes in the movement translation (including speed) its not 1:1. Im not saying its bad but 1:1 is an ideal to me and not a reality. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | Hmm i just watched it and it seems clunky & cumbersome at best. When you have a new control system its supposed to make it better not add extra layers of complication. This control method requires you to not only remember the gestures, but also the commands and use it during the stress of combat during the game. Sure its 'immersive' (although i would imagine doing that for 100 hours plus would get tiring and annoying, especially standing!) & can be learned but it is in no way better then the original PC controls, so i dont see the point. Interesting & passable control method but thats it. There are some games that are suited to motion control and those that are not. IMO this is not. Flag this | Edit this post |

| | 1:1 is never going to happen and for the forseeable future too. When the Wii first came out i had high expectations that this could be possible. However the reality is different. With out any tangible feedback (ie swords clashing, weight of sword) and that fact that a player can swing their arms faster then the ingame character can realistically swing the weapon means that this was just a good a idea in theory but not in practice. Sure if the game doesnt require any form of interaction (like a dance game) then sure 1:1 is cool. But sword play, unless some sort of gaming device was invented that realistically emulated the feel and weight of a real sword plus the physical interaction with the sword and its target, 1:1 sword play is currently impossible. | Oh hell yes i will spread the word. I was just wondering if there was a catch because what we are expected to pay is ridiculous. Just because us Aussies are forced to pay the equivalent of US99 for a retail copy of a newly released game doesnt mean we are willing to pay that much for a download.
However games seem to be getting cheaper thanks to Computer store selling games a massively reduced prices. Got Battlefield 3 Retail copy for about US$50! had to get it. Had to wait 2 weeks before they could fill the order but i got it.
Now theres a website claiming to sell games at around this price and works with steam im really blown away! Hope there is nothing im missing. Flag this | Edit this post |

| What do you mean less then successful? Does it mean i can use the game in my steam account which would be freaken awesome.
I feel Steam is selling the games at US$99 because thats what a retail copy usually goes for here in Australia and the dont want to destroy the local retail games market but hey why should we pay double if we can get it for what its worth online at US$50!
BTW what country do you live that you also pay ridiculous prices for your games like us Aussies Flag this | Edit this post |

| I got the limited edition version but have to wait till xmas when i get a chance to reinstall the whole system before installing this game. I was awestruck by the 'free' multiplayer gun a silenced 1911 colt .45 pistol included in the limited edition version ( if i join the ea gun club). I'll be using that all the time. not!
Anyone played coop on this game? Is it any good? Flag this | Edit this post |

| | hmm seems like we get the raw end of the deal this time, not that i was going to buy it but Modern Warefare 2 is selling for US$45 at supposedly halfprice which is ridiculous considering they just released a new game Flag this | Edit this post |

| Just finished Morrowind LOL
Was hard at the start but near the end it was a push over. Maybe i should have went and finish the main quest instead of doing all the side quests.
Skyrim looks epic and i look forward to playing this game - in a few years time Flag this | Edit this post |

| | I upgraded from a 24" to a 27" 3D monitor because i was interested in how 3D looks. All i can say is hopefully there are some improvements when i do a reinstall (and driver updates) because i cant play with it for too long (my worst fears about it were realized). The effect is ok but nothing that would force me to endure using it for long periods of time. Fortunately the monitor is still an excellent 2D monitor at 120htz but for anyone thinking about 3D, try before you buy. It was a good purchase in theory but as yet its not necessary in practice.
